Served as a Surveyor

Image
One fine day (01/04/2015), suddenly, I was invited by the PRO of REACH FOUNDATION for a trip to Kanchipuram (the divine haven ruled by Goddess Kamakshi) on a heritage related project; the work included surveying of heritage buildings and data entry. I considered this as a god-given opportunity, as the job was pertaining to my inherent interest. I really had a wonderful time with new contacts, architecture students and genuine people of my wave length. Highlights of the trip was the divine-darshan of Sri Kamakshi Amman and the surprise-darshan of Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal and 'Palabishegam'-darshan of Sri Maha-Periyavar Samadhi at Sri Sankara Matam. Thanks to the divine mother who blessed me with such blissful events in my life

Journalist Mr.Abdullah Nurullah interviewed me (for the first time in my life) over a phone call on 13th November 2014 (Thursday), for a small portion of his article about Epigraphy, which got published in Times of India on 20/11/2014. Thanks to REACH Foundation founder-trustee Dr.T.Sathyamurthy and Epigraphy-Class coordinator Mr.Ramanathan who suggested my name to the journalist. The original article is no longer available online; however rough-draft of the same can be accessed @  Times of India's Article on Epigraphy - Draft In this happy moment, I also recollect the occasion when my name got mentioned for the first time in a Tamil Daily (I think it was 'Dinamani'), several years back, in an article about a Dance Drama choreographed by Guru Smt.Krishnakumari Narendran. I was just one of the divine maids, in the dance drama, standing still with a weapon (a spade, if I remember right). It was mentioned in the article that I kept blinking my eyes very often. Ha ha ha........

It is a blessing to have a father about whom a daughter can be proud of; I am blessed indeed.  My father   Mr.R.Sivasaravanan  (7 th  Feb 1949 – 22 nd  June 2012) has always been a pious, magnanimous, polite, prudent, intelligent, innovative, calm, self-disciplined and knowledgeable gentle man. He dedicated his life for gaining knowledge in as many fields of life as possible and for his spiritual upliftment as well. God gave him to us for He loved us and took him back for He loved him. I am proud to state that my father was the inventor of ‘Improvised connecting-rod mechanism for Diesel Engines’ for improving fuel efficiency, to decrease exhaust emission & to increase engine life. He presented his invention  at IIT Madras  and received the LRAMP 2007 Award in ‘Grass Root Innovator category’ for the same, from the honourable hands of Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. He also presented his  invention in International conference ‘MAST 2007’ at Italy.  H...
