The Mountain and the Maharishi

I developed a special attraction towards the sacred mountain Thiruvannamalai when I was about 10 yrs old; thanks to the Tamil movie 'Arunagirinathar', telecasted by Door-Darshan (Chennai) then. Though I have been hearing about Ramana Maharishi since my adolescence, I realized the greatness of beloved Baghavan only when I was about 24 yrs old. This strange yet strong divine experience embraced me when I happened to read Ramana Maharishi's story in 'Amar Chithra Katha'  (a story book series meant for kids, with pictorial representations). This story about Bhagavan made me realize that what I have been wanting to become, all these years, is what Ramana was and is. In other words, my hidden and incomprehensible yet constant quest, ever since my childhood, that has been dominating my existence, suddenly revealed itself to me in the form of Ramana Maharishi.
